Job Overview:
Leed Corporate Services is seeking experienced Sheetmetal Mechanics and Avionics Technicians with a strong background in heavy helicopter modifications. This position supports modification, repair, and upgrade programs on military and/or commercial rotary-wing aircraft in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sheetmetal Mechanics:
Perform structural modifications, repairs, and installations on helicopter airframes
Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals
Fabricate, fit, and install sheet metal parts, assemblies, and subassemblies
Drill, countersink, rivet, and fasten components to aircraft standards
Ensure all work meets FAA, OEM, and customer specifications
Avionics Technicians:
Install, troubleshoot, and modify avionics systems on rotary-wing aircraft
Perform wire routing, termination, and integration of electrical systems
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical data
Conduct system testing, diagnostics, and repairs
Support avionics upgrades and modernization programs
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in sheet metal or avionics (rotary-wing preferred)
Proven experience with heavy helicopter modifications (e.g., UH-60, CH-47, or similar platforms)
Ability to read and interpret technical data, schematics, and blueprints
Strong knowledge of aircraft safety and quality standards
Must have own tools (as applicable to trade)
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
Military aviation experience
A&P License (highly preferred for avionics, not required)
Prior modification or depot-level maintenance experience
Familiarity with OEM standards and FAA regulations
Work Environment & Schedule:
Full-time contract position
Overtime opportunities may be available
Work performed in hangar and/or flight line environments
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive hourly rate: $45–$50/hour (based on experience)
