Quality Assurance Representative - Fort Campbell, KY

Job Type: Full-time; work hours may be adjusted for operational requirements or on a case by case basis with GM coordination.

Salary: $65,000 - $70,000

QAR Basic Function Summary:

Verifies conformity to product and services IAW established quality standards, regulatory agencies, and

company policies.

Provides expertise and guidance in interpreting aircraft manuals, technical bulletins, technical drawings,

AMCOM safety messages and directives, company policies and procedures, regulatory and/or

governmental regulations and agency guidelines to assure compliance.

Ensures compliance with quality assurance programs, processes, policies and procedures.

Works directly with customer to assist in resolving quality related issues and turn-in of material to

ensure necessary repairs are accurately identified.

Ensures operational facilitates are utilized and maintained to the applicable standards.

Works as a dependable team member, focusing on operational success; shall collaborate positively and

successfully to resolve quality related issues.

Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully, fostering mutual trust through accountability and

shared purpose with both fellow BSAS employees as well as the supported customer.

Enables best practice benchmarking (sharing of ideas), thereby fostering the achievement of company

objectives.

Work is in a climate controlled warehouse environment with moderate noise levels and occasional

limited exposure to inclement weather.

Essential Duties:

• Perform quality assurance inspections and other quality duties as assigned

• Inspect and receive aircraft components, verify the requested repairs needed or that repairs

have been accomplished IAW with contractual requirements at specific intervals

• Assist in the evaluation of quality deficiency reports to ensure corrective action plan

arrangements are being followed

• Verify compliance with Safety Messages, Service Bulletins, Instructions and Airworthiness

Directives as distributed and properly recorded

• Collaborate positively and professionally with other functional team members to ensure

product/service standards are adhered to, including processes, documentation, monitoring,

inspection and test criteria for acceptance of records and material

• Coordinate with management regarding responses to customer initiated quality complaints

• Perform aircraft component forms and records reviews and updates IAW GEN-24-AMAM-01

Add 2 and MCDS requirements

• Interpret aircraft technical drawings, manuals and diagrams in both a commercial and

government format• Must have the ability to apply general inspection practices and techniques to different types of

MDS airframe components and ground support equipment

• Inspect, review and prepare component documents prior to shipment

• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely on technical matters, orally and in writing

• Must be able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance throughout employment

• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally

• Potential short-term travel to CONUS locations

• High School/GED

• US Army Rotary Wing aircraft experience preferred or comparable warehouse QA functional

experience

• FAA Airframe and Power plant license (A&P) preferred

Basic Top 10 Functions:

The BSAS Quality Assurance department is comprised of four individuals that report to the General

Manager and provide customer support by conducting the following:

1. This is a QAR position in a warehouse environment with normal business hours of 7 am – 4 pm

2. Review, prepare, update and maintain aircraft component historical records in MCDS & ACN

3. Evaluate incoming material based on visual inspection and documentation presented

4. Determine appropriate levels of material repairs

5. Communicate with AMCOM to resolve component historical record issues

6. Work with vendors to resolve quality related issues

7. Inspect shipments of incoming and out-going material

8. Ensure compliance with DoD directed messages as they relate to BSAS stock

9. Communicate across BSAS functional areas to resolve quality related questions

10. QA’s do not clear RED X’s for BSAS components on wing or clear aircraft for flight
